Château Haut Peyrat
“Fleshy, complex and pleasure”

Appellation : Bordeaux Supérieur
Vintage : 2016
Terroir : Argilo-Graveleux
Grape varieties : Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc (15%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%)
Age of the vines : 30-35 years
Vinification : Traditional in thermoregulated vats
Culture : Reasoned with work on the ground
Aging : 14 months in barrels of 1 wine
Elaboration: With the help of Jean-Luc Zuger, owner of Château Malescot Saint-Exupéry, 3rd Grand Cru Classé of Margaux.
Tasting :
Color : Deep ruby color with nuances of bigarreau cherry, limpid and brilliant
Nose : Nose of red and black fruits (cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant) then liquorice and black spices
Palate : On the palate, an attack of good volume and fleshy which restores the fruity perfumes perceived on the nose. In the evolution, for the greatest pleasure it is a little more fleshy but without excess with a fruity flesh which supports the tannins.
Serving temperature : 17-18 ° C
Alcohol percentage : 13.5%
Food / wine pairing : The Haut-Peyrat terroir offers you a beautiful, rich and powerful Bordeaux with fruity notes. You will appreciate this wine now or after a few years in the cellar with grilled or cooked meats (beef, duck, lamb), game and traditional dishes (stew, Bordeaux rib steak), or a nice platter cheeses.
Guard : 5 to 8 years
